Project Areas

Under the guidance of your local advisory committee, and once pooled funds reach a sustainable level, a grants program will commence.This program will fund projects that provide benefit to the South West community.The program may also fund projects which might not fit the selection criteria of the more established or cause-specific grant programs, but may provide significant benefit to the region.This might include projects which:

  • support youth;
  • develop community leadership;
  • make our communities safer;
  • improve life for the aged;
  • build community diversity and capacity; and/or
  • enhance environmental sustainability.

Volunteer South West IncEnhancing Access Program for people with special needsTo encourage participation in volunteering by people with special needs$ 2,000
The Escape Youth GroupExpress Yourself. 12-17 girls workshops coving workshops ranging from skin and hair care to deportment and protective behaviours to increase self esteem, confidence and wellbeing of young women $ 2,000
Boyup Brook St John AmbulanceEquipment PurchasePurchase of a specialized battery charger for deliberator and purchase of wheelchair for transferring patents.$ 1,575  
Smart EventsEquipment Purchase Smart events equipment trailer is a mobile event kit popular with many community events and festivals.  Grant to update equipment $  2,000
Walpole Community Resource TelecentreCommunity Centre Fixed Projector ScreenTo allow venue to be used as conference facility and for the showing of pictures $  2,000
